More than 300 British and foreign and bottled ales – along with ciders and perries – will line up in what promises to be the biggest-ever winter festival staged.

winter_bluesOverseas brews will come from Belgium, Holland, Germany and the US – but the beer list is not yet finalised and other countries may be represented.

The four-day festival takes place at Manchester’s Sheridan Suite (off the A62 Oldham Road, M40 8EA) from January 18-21.

The show will open for trade and invited members only, from 2.30-5pm on Wednesday January 18.

Open sessions begin from 5-10.30pm on that day and continue on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday from noon-10.30pm each day.

English and Indian food will be on offer up to 9pm each day.

The whole of Saturday will be dedicated to the 1980s – so get out the shoulder pads and Spandex, as spot prizes will be on offer to the best dressed!

Families will be allowed in on the Saturday afternoon and the evening will feature live entertainment from a band called The Unknown.

The festival’s half-pint glasses will also carry third-pint measure lines with CAMRA, as ever, seeking to promote responsible drinking.

The charity After Adoption – a group dedicated to helping children and adults deal with the difference adoption brings to their lives – have been named as the festival charity.

Ticket prices range from £2-5 depending on the day.
