The first new brewery to launch in Aylesbury, Bucks in 75 years, has opened – with the promise that drinkers at its local pub will get to try a different new ale every WEEK!
The newly opened Aylesbury Brewhouse is being run by the owners of the Hop Pole pub – Mark and Phil Stevens, who also have the Vale Brewery in Brill.
The pair say the Aylesbury brewing recipe will be changed every seven days at the eight barrel plant which is situated at the back of the pub on Bicester Road – giving the locals a new beer each week.
It will produce roughly 4,500 pints every week.
CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide editor Roger Protz opened the brewhouse to coincide with the pub’s December 2011 weekend beer festival.
The original Aylesbury Brewery Company stopped brewing in 1937, but the “ABC” brand and Aylesbury Duck logo continued until 1989.
