Crisp Maltings has appointed Steve Le Poidevin as its brewing sales director, succeeding Gordon Tilley, who has left the group to become Charles Faram’s CEO in the USA and Canada.
Mr Tilley took up his new post on September 1 and Mr Le Poidevin starts in his new role on October 1.
Crisp managing director Euan Macpherson said: “Steve is a master maltster, and is very experienced in the malting industry – having spent many years with Pauls/Greencore/Boortmalt, currently as commercial manager, UK and Ireland.
“He brings with him a wealth ofknowledge, both operational and commercial. He is well known to our customers at home and overseas and will be a great asset to Crisp Malting Group.”

Meanwhile, Mr Tilley will be based in Oregon, USA as he helps Farams build on its loyal North American customer base. Before joining Crisp, he had lived in the USA and Canada for 17 years, before which he spent 10 years at Bass.
Charles Faram managing director Paul Corbett said: “I am delighted Gordon is joining the team. I am sure he will be a valuable asset for the company & we are excited about continuing to develop our hop import and export business with the USA.”
