BBPA awards deadline is looming

The deadline for entries to the BBPA awards for 2016 is looming! Brewers, pubs and other hopefuls have only until August 26 to submit their bids for victory in this year’s revamped competition.
The British Beer & Pub Association and Pub & Bar magazine are continuing the partnership that began last year, and the BBPA’s Annual Dinner and Awards ceremony takes place on Wednesday, October 12, returning to the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington.
BBPA Chief Executive, Brigid Simmonds said: “The BBPA Annual Dinner and Awards 2016 will see us continue our successful partnership with Pub & Bar magazine that delivered such a great night last year.
“The awards recognize the valuable contribution the brewing and pub sector makes across our economy and society. I’m looking forward to seeing the entries we receive this year.”
The BBPA Industry Awards will have a fresh look and feel for 2016, with four categories:
The Off-trade Retailer Award 2016
This award seeks to reward a company which has shown exceptional support to the beer industry throughout its estate.
Beer Champion 2016
The BBPA Beer Champion Award of 2016 looks to recognise companies that have successfully sought to promote, improve and celebrate beer.
Pub Champion 2016 in association with Nestlé Professional
The title of Pub Champion 2016 will recognise companies that have worked to secure pubs for future generations. This year the Pub Champion Award is supported by Nestlé Professional and their expertise in food and beverage solutions.
BBPA Heart of the Community Award
The winner of this award will have demonstrated a commitment to their local community.
