It’s boom time for McMullens

Business is booming for 200-year-old Hertfordshire brewery and pub group McMullens – which has just seen its pre-tax profits grow by 12.5 per cent over the previous year!
The Hertford brewer has announced a turnover of £75.4 million for the year to September 26 – up from £72.5m. Pre-tax profits on that were £10.4m.
Its retail sector saw wet sales rise by 1.4 per cent, with food sales the dominant factor , up by 10.9 per cent.
Indepedent McMullens, established in 1827, says its excellent performance was down to good pub acqusitions.
