Free bus rides, meal tickets for Huddersfield ale and food fest!

Have a few beers, some great food at the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival… then get a FREE bus ride home!

That’s the great deal on offer for locals, after bus company Yorkshire Tiger pitched into the festival spirit.

Huddersfield Food & Drink Festival logoThe firm has promised a ride home to anyone who takes part in the event’s Real Ale and Cocktail Trail on any Friday or Saturday night after 6pm during the four weekends that it takes place as part of the  festival.

The trail runs from July 16 to August 7, with the food and drink festival itself taking place on the long weekend of August 4-7.

Yorkshire Tiger bus drivers will give a free ride to anyone whose card has been stamped by any of the 12 official trail venues, as 100,000 people descend on the town to sample real ales and great food.

The festival event will take place in St George’s Square, where more than 90 stalls will offering food from across the globe.

Meanwhile, the organisers, Huddersfield Partnership, are looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of organisation behind the scenes… and they are offering a free meal ticket as a thank-you, to anyone who will lend a hand!
