Get ready to Run to the Hills of Stockport… Iron Maiden star Bruce Dickinson has brewed up another TROOPER!
Dickinson – singer in the world’s biggest rock band and real ale buff – is back in partnership with Robinsons brewery… to design his THIRD brew in the Trooper range of ales.

Following on from the stunning success of TROOPER and last year’s limited edition TROOPER 666, Dickinson and Robbies’ head brewer Martyn Weeks have gone back to the 1850s, for the recipe of TROOPER Red n’ Black Porter.
T
he ale nods back to the days of a century and a half ago, when porter style beer was becoming increasingly popular in Britain.
It takes its name from a track from the latest Iron Maiden album, The Book Of Souls – and its colour from the blend of chocolate and crystal malts which gives the full-bodied beer a roasted malt and caramel backbone.
The special Robinsons’ yeast provides hints of both liquorice and honey character to create a delicious warming brew.
Weighing in at a whacking 6.8 per cent in bottle or 5.8 per cent in cask, TROOPER Red ‘N’ Black Porter is the first dark beer in the TROOPER ranks, and the strongest beer in the range to date.
It is now available for pre-order, direct from Robinsons’ online shop, with a delivery date of September 1.
For availability in shops and pubs, keep an eye on the Robinsons website, the Iron Maiden Beer website and the band’s beer Facebook and Twitter pages.
Helpfully, fans in the States and Europe also have their own unique links.
