Sheffield ale trails launched

Sheffield’s ongoing bid to be Britain’s real ale capital is being back by a new Real Ale Trails venture, in which beer lovers tour pubs AND breweries.

sheffield_ale_trailsEach trail will take in some of the city’s best beer pubs and include either a brewery tour or a tasting session organised by a local brewer.

Local journalist Austin Macauley has teamed up with events organiser Maire McCarthy and management consultant Kristy Muffett to launch the business which began last week with an inaugural trip around two breweries and two pubs.

Public trails are being booked now – and the team is offering a choice of three different kinds of trail.

A Taste of Sheffield begins with a tour and tasting session at a local independent craft brewery, then takes in a selection of the city’s best “off-the-beaten-track” pubs.

Beer in the Burbs takes you delving into breweries and pubs in the city’s suburbs.

Both tours are £35, and include a half in every pub, plus snacks and dedicated transport throughout, picking up and dropping off in the city centre!

The third option allows you to work with the team to design your own Ale Trail across the city. For more details visit the link below.
