Ilkley Brewery makes national business finals

High-flying Ilkley Brewery has seen off 3,000 Yorkshire businesses, to become the regional winner of the Newspaper Society’s Local Business Accelerators competition.
The three-year-old business will now face 11 companies from across the UK in the national finals.
The judges scored the contenders on features that included the originality of the business idea, their ability to fend off competition, their finances and future prospects, their communication skills and their positive impact upon the local community.
The Ilkley team is the only brewery in the final and the success comes hot on the heels of a hand-picked visit by the Princess Royal, to launch its tribute ale to her mother’s Diamond Jubilee and unveil a plaque.
