Clash fans start a New Wave beer revolution

What do you do if your two passions in life are punk rock on vinyl, and real ale? Start a revolutionary brewery, of course!
Mark Seaman and Andrew Helm set up theirs at Whitwood, near Castleford, West Yorkshire in late 2010… and the Revolutions brewing Co is now enjoying hit after hit with its bevy of beers, brewed to match the speeds of those old spinning plastic discs that we all loved so much.
M&A.JPGRevolutions’ ales all conform to three ABVs – 3.3, 4.5 and 7.8 per cent – and take their names from the musical heroes of the late 1970s New Wave era, into the early 80s, and the songs and albums they made famous.
So keep an eye open for chart-toppers such as Kraftwerk Braun Ale, Clash London Porter and a new release planned for next month (February 2012), Milk & Alcohol – a “45” brewed to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the Dr Feelgood classic!
