For those who love a pie and a pint, Huddersfield’s Milnsbridge Socialist Club has the perfect event!
It is holding its first Beer & Pork Pie Festival from Thursday-Sunday, April 19-22.
Some 30 ales will be on offer – all themed around St George… and a selection of no fewer than 15 different types of pork pies will accompany them!
The club can be found at 42, Bankwell Road, Huddersfield, HD3 4LU and you can call them for more details, on: 01484 652730
If you can’t wait for pork pie time, Huddersfield’s Rat and Ratchet brew pub will be hosting a mini-beer festival from February 10-12, to showcase up to 15 different Rat beers – with 10 available on the bar at any one time.
From 2-5pm on the Saturday (February 11) there will be an opportunity to view the brewery and engage the brewers in a question and answer session.
Card-carrying CAMRA members will get a 50p per pint discount on Rat beers, and the pub’s usual range of Ossett and guest beers will also be available, as well as ciders and perries.
