A Yorkshire brewery’s first pub venture has been given a top slot by boozers.
The Acorn Brewery, from Wombwell in South Yorks, relaunched the historic Old No 7 pub in nearby Barnsley as a cask ale specialist venue, after it was shut down by Enterprise Inns in 2010.
A few months on, it has now taken the local CAMRA pub of the year award.
Some £180,000 has been spent on restoring the 18th century, Grade II-listed pub which now features nine hand-pumps.
