Bristol’s Butcombe Brewery has gone back to the farmyard to give birth to a new ale – created with the help of a top TV presenter.

rare_breed_190612Countryfile star Adam Henson, who runs his own Cotswolds farm, has joined forces with the brewers to create a new ale, Rare Breed.
And their baby took off recently with an official launch at… Bristol Airport.

The 4.2 per cent golden ale is now available at the airport’s bars, including the impressive new Zero 9 bar. It is brewed with Maris Otter barley, aromatic Herefordshire hops and Mendip spring water, which combine to create a distinctive, refreshing, and clean-tasting ale.

Butcombe managing director Guy Newell said: “Rare Breed is a great beer, both on draught and in bottle. We are really pleased that travellers from all over the world can now have a taste of what’s best in our region, before even leaving the airport.”
