Dodgy beer in Cheshire

A dodgy beer is being brewed by a Cheshire brewery in honour of a 90s indie-pop band!

The Offbeat Brewery in Crewe is planning to brew “Stand Upright” in honour of the band Dodgy, who are set to play a gig in the town later this month.

Offbeat’s head-brewer Michelle Kelsall is a big fan of the band, who had a string of hits in the mid 1990s including ‘Good Enough’ and ‘Staying Out For The Summer’.

And as a tribute, she has decided to name the special one-off IPA after the band’s latest album “Stand Upright In A Cool Place”.

Writing on Offbeat’s blog, she said: “I love Dodgy mid 90s, so I’m glad they’ve put an awesome album together for 2012 and so excited to be making this limited edition for them”.
