Grunt ‘n’ groan in a country pub… and that’s BEFORE the morning after!

The locals of a Cheshire country inn are getting set for the biggest pub brawl in Britain – and a top family brewer has even created a special, limited-edition ale to commemorate it.

The fisticuffs start at the Leigh Arms in Little Leigh, on Saturday (May 19) when 10 international WRESTLERS breeze in for a day of American-style grunt ‘n’ groan – along with live music, States-style hotdogs, nachos and popcorn… and a brand new beer from Robinson’s.

The Stockport family brewery has created the 4.2 per cent, strong-armed ale, billed as “Big Daddy – a pint worth wrestling with” – to help landlady Joanne Higham and her family raise cash for a tragic cause close to their hearts.

Jo’s niece, Jessica Barbet, died of meningitis in 2007 – aged just three and a half.

When Jo found out that one of her staff was a qualified wrestling referee, the pub hit on the idea of a day of American wrestling.

And adding a Brit flavour to events, British and European Heavyweight Champion and wrestling Pro, James Mason, will drop by to show how it is done, as the bouts get under way at 2pm in a full-sized ring, with the music starting at 6pm!

Entry is free – so if you want to be the first to tick a new Robbies brew, and help a great cause at the same time, get down there.
