Want to know exactly how your hoppy ale is going to smell and taste, without all the trial and error? Well brewing hop specialists Botanix Ltd have a solution that comes straight from the perfume counters of our big department stores!
Using one of the company’s samplers, you can simply use a syringe to add your chosen hop to your ale sample … and instantly check out the ensuing taste and aroma!
The Botanix PHA range of kits has just been remodelled to provide a quick and effective means of adding hop flavour and aroma to beer.
The kits come in white cases containing hop samples, a calibrated syringe to add them, and a cleaning wash.
Also included is a folder product information and data sheets, as well as dosing instructions giving specific information on each sample provided.
Two kits are available: PHA Generics and PHA Varietals/Topnotes.
Botanix has a standard range of five types of PHA Generics, each with its own unique characteristics. PHAs can also be prepared from specific hop varieties (PHA Varietals) which impart flavour characteristics specific to the particular hop varieties used.
