One of the North-East’s biggest beer festivals is giving 10 per cent of its take to a children’s charity this year.
The sixth Tynemouth Beer Festival takes place from September 13-15 – and its organisers have chosen the Children’s Foundation to benefit from it.
“The foundation supports medical research into childhood illnesses and conditions and creates programmes to address health and lifestyle problems affecting young people in the region, including mental health, disability and safety.
This year’s festival will feature around 80 ales – which can be sponsored by shops and businesses to help raise the charity cash. For more details see the link below.
And organisers of the 13th Worcester CAMRA Beer, Cider and Perry Festival are also hoping for a bumper turnout when the gates open on August 16 for a three-day extravaganza which will draw an audience of some 13,000, to try more than 200 real ales, 100 ciders and perries, plus fruit and grape wines.
Live music, from the Move among others, will entertain the drinkers as they plough their way through ales ranging from 2.5-10.5 per cent.
