A pair of rival breweries have staged a brew-off “duel” in aid of charity.
Edinburgh brewers Stewart Brewing challenged nearby Clackmannshire brewery Harviestoun to make the best Black IPA (4.8-5.2 per cent) which was judged on Thursday (Feb 2) in a blind taste test.
Stewart’s “hoppy” version came on top with 100 votes to Harviestoun’s 52 for their “creamy” ale.
All proceeds from the ticket-only sell-out event, which took place in the Cask and Barrel, Southside, went to charity.
